Position Description

TEAM LEADER - We are seeking a positive, influential leader with successful experience in building and leading a team to desires outcomes and goals; and a creative, proactive change agent with a strong understanding and successful track record of improving overall satisfaction and operational results.

The Team Leader has the primary responsibility of achieving high employee engagement to create a distinctive patient experience and assure the provision of quality and safe services through team members within the assigned department. The team leader assures that employees are performing their work consistent with organizational expectations and policies and procedures.

Position Qualifications:
• Registered Nurse, licensed in the state of Missouri.
•Bachelors Degree in a Healthcare related field required
•3-5 years of related Technical Experience
•1-3 years supervision experience
•Strong leadership skills
•Highly supports shared accountability environment and relationship based care
•Ability to embrace shared decision making
•Effective oral and written communication skills to communicate with customers and to instruct the department personnel
•Exceptional leadership skills to guide unit operations
•High level analytical ability to develop plans and objectives for unit, and to integrate activities with other departments.
•Knowledge of basic management and scientific principles including care planning, case management, and documentation systems.
•Excellent critical thinking skills
•Strong clinical and leadership role model
•Ability to calmly effectively multi task and embrace departmental / organizational change /
•Exceptional team building / team player skills
•Skilled educator / mentor
•Excellent people skills - relationship builder and facilitator
•Able to withstand and work through ambiguity
