Responsibilities
Perform accurate and precise sample processing, including RNA Isolation, DNA isolation, preparation of single cells suspensions, and archiving of material under the supervision of the operations manager.
Perform microscopic examination of tissues using H&E and process samples using platforms for spatial transcriptional and protein profiling.
Prepare libraries and perform sequencing on NGS platforms. Data types include but are not limited to WGS, RNASeq, WES, and single cell multi-omics.
Perform cell population characterization using software on the computational cluster to identify single cells with specific genotypes and cell surface markers under the direction of a senior scientist.
Preferred Skills
Experience in basic molecular biology such as PCR, QPCR, DNA isolation, and RNA isolation.
Experience in microscopy such as bright field illumination, phase contrast, Immuno-fluorescence microscopy, TIRF, and H&E.
Knowledge of basic cell culture techniques
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word software.

Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
