Manhattan Strategy Group is seeking a skilled Project Director, Conference and Logistics to support the Office of Head Start Conferences to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and efficient management of a complex federal contract, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in Head Start and Early Head Start to facilitate agenda development for various conferences and support all aspects of logistics including but not limited to: Hotel identification and negotiations, registration, and material development. This position offers full-time employment.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Primary point of contact for the client and conference support personnel.
  • Ensure the seamless execution of all conference-related tasks within set timelines and adhering to a budget.
  • Coordinating personnel and resources for conference initiatives and implementing quality control measures across all assigned projects, ensuring the smooth functioning of operational functionality.
  • Daily project management, including tracking and reporting on project activities, budgets, materials, and deliverables.
  • Oversee and monitor staff and project resources, including subcontractors and subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Oversee development and maintenance of web-based technologies to support information dissemination and collaboration among program grantees, government staff, and the public.
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of content, including but not limited to working with SMEs and ACF contractors, reviewing materials, website uploads, and processes for reviewing and maintaining materials on the website.
  • Oversee Internet presence through social media outlets.
  • Provide responsive customer service to government clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in early childhood education, business management, project management, or related field.
  • Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience managing similar projects of this size in either the public or private sector, including overall administrative, supervisory managing authority and responsibility
  • Head Start, Early Head Start, early childhood education, and/or childcare knowledge and experience.
  • Highly proficient in project budgets and timelines to align resources to meet project deliverables.
  • Highly proficient in in diverse forms of technology including webinar platforms, presentation tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven track record in project management, event organization, and coordinating meetings.
