Job Description

The Security Architect is charged with the development of architectural designs and leading the implementation of security infrastructure. The Security Architect work in collaboration with the Information Security team to put in place the technical controls required to meet our security policies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Information Security and IT Leadership on security roadmap and strategic initiatives
  • Design, engineer, and implement security solutions that align to a defense-in-depth strategy while also meeting business requirements and processes.
  • Periodic review of existing security solutions to identify opportunities for improvement that can increase the security capabilities and provide additional protection or value to the enterprise.
  • Assist in the design of security elements for on-prem compute, storage, and network infrastructure services.
  • Assist in the design of security elements for cloud infrastructure and platform services.
  • Collaborate with Information Security department in designing the technical security controls that can enforce our security policies.
  • Support project managers during project planning and execution phases and create documentation for turn-over to operations teams.
  • Provide regular status updates on project tasks and other non-project task assignments.
  • Support Security Operations team in investigating any major security incidents.
  • Provide L4 technical support for escalated major incidents and security incidents as needed to restore production services.
  • Stay current on emerging threats, security trends, and risk mitigation strategies and provide recommendations to Security Operations team as necessary.
  • Create Technical Design and other required documentation as required.
  • Assist in training the Security Operations team members on using any new security solutions as needed relative to their role.
  • Work with multi-cultural teams across different time zones.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years working in an enterprise IT environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • Current security certifications highly desired.
  • Experience with the architecture and design of solutions in enterprise environments that provide the technical controls required to meet security policy requirements.
  • Experience with securing enterprise and globally distributed networks including firewalls, IPS, DDoS protections, etc.
  • Experience with data in-transit and data-at-rest encryption solutions and key management solutions.
  • Experience with securing Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud infrastructure and platform services.
  • Experience with log analytics solutions such as Splunk or Azure Log Analytics.
  • Knowledge of advanced endpoint protection solutions for zero-day defense against threats.
  • Strong consultative and problem-solving skills at a cross-functional level.
  • Quick learner, self-starter, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This position requires lawful access to information which is subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Salary Range

The salary range for this role reflects the range of factors that inform case-by-case compensation decisions including education, experience, training, licensure, certification, and geography as well as the business and organizational needs specific to the role. Compensation ranges may be broad, reflecting flexibility within the budget and title to consider candidates of varied experience. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this role is $100,000 to $150,000. Select roles are additionally eligible for Incentive Compensation in the form of our Annual Performance Bonus Program or Sales Commission Policy.
