Position Summary:

The primary function of the Warehouse Supervisor is to be responsible for all areas of warehouse maintenance, product storage and the management of warehouse employees. The Warehouse Supervisor will provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain health and safety compliance in accordance with company policy.
  • Manage inventory accuracy by monitoring daily warehouse activities, load checking, cycle counts, stock rotation, non-stock items, returns for credit and the unloading of shipments to the yard.
  • Manage the daily operations of a warehouse and support fleet operations assuring timely and cost-effective service levels.
  • Train new warehouse/driver personnel.
  • Liaison between drivers, customers, and warehouse personnel.
  • Ability to organize the warehouse and manage bin locations.
  • Establish, maintain, and promote high standards of customer service.
  • Provide dispatch support as needed.
  • Ensure that equipment is maintained to company operating standards.
  • Daily operation of a forklift.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction industry and building materials.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Will frequently move about inside the office and warehouse.
  • Must be able to operate basic office and warehouse machinery.
  • Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in. these situations.
  • Constantly working in a warehouse environment.

Required Cognitive Skills:

  • Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks.
  • Must be able to manage stress depending on tasks.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be able to receive and analyze information.
  • Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement and initiative.
